Product Background
The product is a specially formulated blend of 6 naturally occurring ingredients that are all derived from plants. These ingredients were selected from an initial list of 200 naturally occurring ingredients which was then shortlisted to 11 and then the final 6. These final ingredients have been extensively used in traditional medicines around the world. In many cases, individually, the ingredients have been scientifically researched and have been clinically proven to provide at least one of the key elements which were being sought when formulating the product.

The key elements that were being sought from the ingredients when formulating the product were:
-
Pain relief
-
Reduced bleeding
-
Anti-inflammatory
-
Antiseptic
-
Aromatic calming
-
Anti-microbial
-
Anti-bacterial
-
Increased immune response
-
Insect repellency.
Once the final 6 ingredients were selected, research was done to understand the potency of each ingredient towards each of the target elements. From this point, many different formulations and mixtures were devised. These formulations were then trialed in the field to assess effectiveness and also the degree of this effectiveness between the different formulations. Ultimately, after treating many animals, assessing the performance of the formulations, with strong consideration for ease of use and most importantly, efficacy a final formulation was decided upon.
Product Usage, Handling and Application Instructions
Shake the product well before use: Regular short shakes of the bottle during usage will ensure that all ingredients remain properly mixed and are applied at the appropriate proportions. Adjust the size of the spray cone to suit your requirements. The conical spray pattern should be wide enough to cover the whole wound and the area immediately surrounding the wound. The spray cone is able to be adjusted by twisting the spray nozzle either clockwise (wider cone) or counterclockwise (narrower cone). For best results apply the product immediately after completing the surgical procedure. The shorter the time period between the wound being created and the product being applied the better the level of relief experienced by the animal. When using a surgical procedure that results in significant bleeding, the sooner the application of the product the greater the effectiveness of the reduced bleeding aspects of the product.

Dehorning and Disbudding Wounds: Dehorn or disbud the horn as normal using either surgical technique or hot iron. Apply the correct dose by spraying 1 full trigger squeeze to each horn wound. The dose rate has been calculated to ensure that the whole area of the wound is able to be effectively covered by the product. One full trigger squeeze will apply 3.5ml of the product to the wound, meaning that all ingredients will be applied at the required concentration to have the full effect. Hold the applicator nozzle close enough to the wounds to ensure that the product covers the entire wound and the area around it. This will ensure that all exposed blood vessels and nerve endings are treated, and maximum relief and protection is achieved. Ensure that the entire wound is covered and that most of the product is in the area of the wounds. Do not touch the wound with the applicator or your hands during the application process. This is an oil-based formulation and should be expected to migrate to some degree around the treated area, hence helping with coverage.

Castration Wounds: Fully castrate the animal as usual. Immediately after the second testicle has been removed, apply one full squeeze of the application trigger directly to the wounds at the bottom of the scrotum. Hold the applicator nozzle close enough to the incision wounds to ensure that the product impacts the wound area with some force. This will help for some of the product to enter the scrotum. Ensure that the entire wound is covered and that most of the product is in the area of the wounds. Do not touch the wound with the applicator or your hands during the application process. This is an oil-based formulation and should be expected to migrate to some degree around the treated area, hence helping with coverage.

Branding Wounds: Brand the animal as usual. Apply the product immediately after the branding process is completed so that the entire branded area is covered, including the area immediately around the outside of the brand. Due to the significant variations in size of branding wounds it may be necessary to apply more than one full spray of the product to ensure the wound is covered. A minimum of one full spray (3.5ml) should be applied to each brand. In most cases a maximum of two full sprays (7ml) will be required to treat the branding wound.
Ear Marking Wounds: Earmark the animal as per the normal procedure. Apply a short spray of the product over the wound ensuring to cover the entire incision and the surrounding area. The maximum volume of product required is 1 full trigger spray, however this amount is not always necessary for this procedure.

Accidental Wound Care: The nature of accidental wounds can be infinitely varied, and the product should not be used to replace the advice of a Veterinarian. Severe wounds that would ordinarily be referred to a veterinarian should always be dealt with in this way. For smaller, less serious scrapes and cuts, this product may provide some relief to the wound, may assist with the reduction of bleeding and could help to protect the wound from infection. The minimum quantity to be applied to any wound is 3.5ml, one full trigger squeeze of the applicator. For wounds which cannot be fully covered by 3.5ml, apply more product, however, do not apply to run off. Accidental wound treatment results may vary based on the time between the wound occurring, the treatment being applied and the severity of the wound.

Storage and Shelf Life : Store any unused product in a cool, dark, dry location in its original container, away from direct sunlight. Do not refrigerate the product during storage. Wherever possible avoid removing the spray nozzle from the bottle as this may allow the introduction of contaminants which in turn could lead to wound infections after application of the product. Be very careful not to introduce any water to the container as this may cause the product to become rancid and ineffective. For best results, do not decant the product from its original container as this may lead to the introduction of contaminants. If transferring a spray nozzle from one container to another, be very careful not to contaminate the new container with any foreign material or substance.
The product is currently manufactured with a shelf life of 18 months from the date of manufacture. When stored correctly and without the introduction of contaminants, the product will remain effective until the expiry date is reached.
Applicator usage and care : Adjust the size of the spray cone to suit your requirements. The conical spray pattern should be wide enough to cover the whole wound and the area immediately surrounding the wound. The spray cone is able to be adjusted by twisting the spray nozzle either clockwise (wider cone) or counter clockwise (narrower cone).
The product is supplied in a ready to use pack. The spray nozzle which is supplied with the pack is robust and proved to be able to apply at least the number of treatments in one or more original containers. If the product is being stored for a longer period, the spray nozzle can be removed and cleaned using warm, soapy water and then flushing with clean water. Pump the nozzle empty of water and ensure it is thoroughly dry before replacing it in the product container. The introduction of water to the formulation in this process could lead to the breakdown of the product whilst in storage.
Safety :Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth. For external use only. Do not use for any other purpose.
For animal treatment only.
